Nicolas Gonzalez
Born and raised in Fresno, California, Nic has been playing music for over 18 years. Growing up, jazz band and wind ensembles dominated his academic life, and after-hours were spent endlessly jamming with friends. After high school, Nic was given a scholarship to the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music where continued his pursuit of music and made invaluable connections with colleagues. At CSULB Nic studied with bass legends such as Bruce Lett (Freddie Hubbard), Jennifer Leitham (Mel Torme), Luther Hughes (Gene Harris, Joe Pass), and has since studied with Carlitos Del Puerto (Chick Corea) and Rufus Philpot (Allan Holdsworth). Since graduating, Nic has toured with rock bands, played numerous musicals, and maintained a busy schedule working as a freelance bassist throughout Los Angeles and Southern California.
